Study and Case Consultation with L. Eileen Keller

Bion's works on thinking and on states of mind are wonderfully useful in clinical work, though sometimes hard to grasp in isolation. In this class we will use early theoretical work from the collection "Second Thoughts" to help us understand our own and our patients' defenses against psychic pain. Alternating clinical presentations with study of theory will help us integrate Bion's work into our clinical technique. In addition, we will use a few of the late seminars given by Bion, at the Tavistock, showing the synthesis of many years of thought and clinical work.

Dates and Times: Wednesdays 12-1:15 pm (On-going group. Twelve week commitment required. Two spaces available.)

Thursdays from 12:30-1:50 pm (On-going group. One place available)

Location: 5435 College AV #201, Oakland

Cost: Wednesdays - $45 per session.
Thursdays - $50 per session.
Fee is payable monthly.
Class limited to six.
